Joe it is?
well, you came to the right place!! I'm sure many folks here have a few guitars they wouldn't mind parting with in exchange for a few bucks (for the zoot stash!)

Hesh?? I know you have about 10 or 11 laying around!! Don't you need to make room on that stand of yours?

Welcome to our forum
We are a group of luthiers. From beginners to masters.
Most of us build guitars because we have a passion for the instrument.
We are all on this forum to share in that passion. We share our
knowledge and our happiness in the world of guitars.
Most of us build one guitar at a time, by hand with our heart and soul
going into each instrument. Many of us build by commission so you can
get EXACTLY your dream guitar. You can choose body size, style, wood
selection, setup, spacing, neck shape. Anything you can imagine, one of
us can deliver for you. Some of us have some finished products ready for
a customer.   Personally I don't. I build to order.
I think you can certainly find what you are looking for here. Most custom
guitars take about 3-5 months from start of construction. But BOY is it
worth the wait.

I suggest you let us know what you are interested in. What style of music
you play. Fingerstye, pick, hard attack soft attack, need for pickups etc.
All of this can be tailored for you. Peruse the forum and you will see
some of the fine instruments that we build here.

As suggested, one advantage is to have one built by a luthier in your area
so you can meet personally who might build your guitar, pick out wood
personally etc.

Welcome and good luck

I would ideally like to purchase a guitar with a cedar or redwood top. Different shapes other than Dread. Cutaway OK too. Not against spruce top either. 1 3/4 nut very preferable. I have about $1500 to spend. I know customs go for more, but I figured that I would give it try.

Cedar and redwood tops are wonderful. Most of us prefer shapes other than
dreads. Personally I like OM/OOO's 1 3/4 nut is fairly standard. $1500
would be a bit low for me to make you one. Hopefully others here can help
you or have a finished instrument awaiting an owner

I don't know if I'm allowed to say this here, (moderators feel free to delete),
but I have a 2006 Taylor GS Mahogany/Cedar that I'm looking to sell to raise
funds for tools and completing my basement workshop.

Thanks for the replies and PM's. I'm sure all the guitars mentioned win on the MOJO scale. I look forward to seeing some of them.

Peter remember please that I don't sell my stinkin guitars....

I was trying to help our new friend and at the same time help our many friends here with a bit of "qualification" as to what the requirements were/are.

It might be better for all if a few people, with out any bias (meaning do not sell guitars)(and no insult intended) endeavor to find out what someone is looking for before they are jumped on my the masses.

Hey Hesh, I was just trying to help!! Isn't that stanbd of yours full by now?
